While a midwife focuses on the medical side of your care, a doula provides non-medical support focusing more on physical, emotional, and practical care as well as education.

Yes! I recommend this, because working with the same person throughout your birth, postpartum and breastfeeding journey creates a deep trust and familiarity.

I do! I am a certified birth and postpartum doula, certified vbac specialist, certified newborn care specialist, certified lactation counselor and certified childbirth educator.

While a newborn care specialist focuses specifically on caring for the newborn and educating the family on doing so, a postpartum doula focuses more on caring for the mother in her recovery from birth. Every family has different needs, and I’m proud to offer both services to fit your needs!
